As the regulatory body for Licensed Practical Nurses in Alberta, the CLHA collects information that provides insights into the profession. The CLHA is committed to sharing its information and data about LPNs in Alberta with the public, registrants, and health system partners. Definitions

Active Complaint Complaints that are still in process, which includes: newly received, investigations, decisions outstanding, referred to a hearing, and awaiting completion of orders etc.
Complaints Closed Complaints that have been resolved with all orders completed by the Registrant.
Rate of Complaints Also known as “percentage of LPNs with a complaint out of all LPNs,” this is the percentage of registrants with at least one complaint against them out of the total number of practicing registrants.
Interjurisdictional ApplicantsĀ  Applicants who are currently registered in another Canadian jurisdiction and plan to remain registered in their home jurisdiction while practicing in Alberta.
