This policy addresses issues related to professionalism, documentation, fitness to practice, professional development, abandonment of care, professional boundaries, duty to report, and unprofessional conduct. HCAs are responsible and accountable for their own decisions, actions, and professional conduct. The commitment to providing safe, competent, and ethical care begins with HCAs taking care of themselves and maintaining their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
